Endocrinologists are doctors that diagnose and treat a wide range of endocrinology related conditions affecting the endocrine system, including diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, growth hormone deficiency, infertility, cholesterol problems, hypertension (high blood pressure), obesity and more. An endocrinologist can treat and diagnose hormone problems and the complications that arise from them. If your physician finds that the underlying cause of a medical condition is related to hormone production, they may refer you to an endocrinologist. These doctors are trained to manage and diagnose diseases that affect the glands and the hormones.
